How to connect your domain to your service

In this tutorial, you will be shown how to connect your domain to our hosting services.

This guide is intended for when you already own a domain. If you do not yet have a domain, please follow this guide first, and then follow this one after.

Screenshots from this guide are from Porkbun, our recommended registrar. However, the process will be similar using other domain registrars.

First, you will need to sign in to your Porkbun account. Next, you'll need to click the Details button next to the domain you are looking to modify.

Find the Authoritative Nameservers section, and click Edit. Replace the first nameserver with ns1.demonbolthost.com. Then, replace the second nameserver with ns2.demonbolthost.com. You can continue this process to setup ns3 and ns4 in the same way, but this is not required. Remove any other nameservers.

Nameserver records can take up to 48 hours to propagate globally, so if your site remains inaccessible even after changing these records, this may be the cause. Check the progress using this tool, by typing your domain into the box.
